SPARKS OF DR FARRAR’S REVIVAL IN ABIA STATE NIGERIA By Da Effiong Daniel African Holy land Akwa Abasi Ibom state Nigeria “I have come to bring fire on the earth and how I wish it were already kindled”. Luke 12:49 In Elijah’s day fire comes before the rain, Fire comes to bring division between truth and false, between God and Baal .it is between true prophet and false, between light and dark etc. When Jesus Christ, full of fire of the Holy Spirit said,, I have come to brig fire on the earth and how I wish it were already kindled. This was Jesus mission; I have come to bring fire on the earth. But even though he brought fire in the earth, where he was ministering war not all the earth, but in Israel . what was in his heart was putting fire in the whole earth,i.e. “he had in mind of a global fire outburst beginning from Jerusalem to the uttermost part of the earth. What is the meaning of this? To me What he did there in israel will spread all over the earth.For the earth will be filled with knowledge of the lord as the water covers the sea.. He said ‘’how I wish it were already kindled, Jesus wish here was for a quick work, confirming God word “I will do a quick work in your days”, a quick action, Jesus heart was for the fire to come quickly and it wasn't long, the fire came fully as he prayed the father for the waiting disciples in the upper room in Jerusalem. The fire came and set them aside /apart for the lord. From that time till now the fire has not stop as some people say the fire of the Holy Spirit has stopped with the apostles. Fire is a dividing and a deciding factor in God setting people apart for his purpose on earth .In Elijah’s time he asked the people the question to choose between God and Baal and the One that will answer by fire will be the real God, fire decided for them the kind of God to serve.for our God is a consuming fire. In peter’s day during Pentecost 3,000 decided for Christ as God fire bring decision and division. Therefore In each generation, fire is the dividing and the deciding factor. Since Jesus declared his intention till now, I have come to bring fire on the earth’ the same fire was on Jesus was it on the apostles and on Paul and on me. It is now in a greater dimension for the greater works that Jesus said we shall do. For him that work effectively in Peter also work in Paul and in me and will continue to work effective on as many that he shall call What John said, “He will baptize you with fire and the Holy Spirit” is still alive, active and is baptizing even now. Are you ready for his baptism, pray that he should baptize you as he did to the apostles, and believe. He would do it again in your days.Amen. In recent time in Abia state in a quarter of the Church the Church of Christ whose doctrine never believe the Holy Spirit is working again .when I confirmed what the Holy Spirit did in my family through Dr Henry Farrar ,a medical missionary send by the church of Christ in America to Africa .I was wondering can the Holy spirit used someone from a church who doesn't believe that the holy spirit is still working now to do such work in my family? I proceeded to Abia state where Dr.Farrar dwelt and worked .The first person I met was the right person who gave me what I wanted but others were arguing but when this man came up with his personal convincing proof of the holy spirit fire upon his life. The matter settled it is not be argued be pray for it. Dr Uwakwe of Akanu Afaha gave us a very personal information about the work of the holy spirit in his life and ministry. According to him what decide for him and delivered him from the hand of juju men was the physical deciding fire that came down from heaven as that of Elijah. The fire came as a dividing and a deciding factor on that faithfully Iketa market day and more than 200 souls trouped to the church of Christ from that day. The fire is on confirming the prophecy of Isaiah 64:1-4 since that day till now the people believed, there is still a God that answered by fire as in the day of Elijah . Evidence of Holy Spirit move in the Church of Christ Nigeria My name is Dr.Nwosu Uwakwe, I was twelve years old when I told my father I would no longer be a member of the Apostolic Church again because of Church of Christ that came into our community. In that time people were allow to worshipped whatsoever they desired, even received support from others. My mother was proud initially with hope there is a God, I could worship but later disowned me when she realized I have joined the church of Christ, my father send me away from the family and one of our church members received me into his house. The man took me to another place where I started and attended my school, he took care of me for sixteen years, after my primary school, he send me to secondary school at Port Harcourt in 1972. I returned home after I finished my secondary school. My parent still insisted that I should reunite with them in the Apostolic Church. I told them I have good news for them, then I preached God salvation to my father to be save because I wanted my family to be saved. They were surprised to hear me preach the gospel and my father exclaimed!, so you can preach like this .After they received God’s salvation, the entire family became members of church of Christ and God made things possible for them. I got admission into university but later drop out due to lack of money and sponsors. I returned to my professional welding work and open a workshop. One day I made an elder who told me the work I am doing is not my professional work, I should remember when I was a child my mother dedicated me to God to be his minister. He asks me to prepare for bible school it is then my real career manifested. He sends me to church of Christ bible school. When I completed my three years course at Anua, Ukpom-Abak, he instructed me to join Onitsha-Ngwa Bible School as a school teacher. I was upset because I wanted to return to my professional welding work, but later followed his instruction. Doctor Hendry Farrar came into Abia State through Akwa Ibom state. when he entered Nigeria was my inspirator . We knew him as a minister of God, he practically demonstrated his Christianity, showing good example not by preaching only but true demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit. He took care of sick person’s in a place of his residence before hospital built. He used to lay hand on any sick person and pray for them. Then declared you are healed in Jesus name, Amen, before any medical care is administered to the patient, because of this, he was able to cure any kind of sickness and carryout surgery successfully. Spiritually God used him to destroy shrine in places like Onitsha-Ngwa, Nlari, Obakri etc. there was a shrine in our village (Nlari) called Mbarekpe, when Dr. Farrar and his Four minister enter there, four persons’ slump and die during the prayers but he fervently prayed to God, and he brought them back to life and the community was shaken, that the Whiteman have raise the dead hence the popularity of the church of Christ and the hospital in that community. Dr. Farrar came with an authority of God to destroy negative stronghold powers in Africa, which he did and he was able to bring back life. This man broke African tradition which is not possible for someone from another culture to break the already establish tradition which strongly backup with evil forces. But he came with an Apostolic Authority and broke idols of Africa. Our people he commissioned did not emulate him due to their characters. This discourages him to depart from our country to his country. I was made a minister of God after I completed bible school, God miraculously proven that I am his minister by physical fire on the shrine. I was ministering at church of Christ Umekuri Ishiala Ngwa Ikekita. In that particular community, they had a shrine where their people on every Iketa market days go they and stay, pour wine all over the place, sacrifice to their gods. On that particular day, I went out for evangelism, stood in the market square and preach the gospel near their shrine. After the message, their priest said to me why do you preach such message in this place don’t you know we have our gods who hear and answer our prayers, supplied all our need. I told him he is not God, the creator of the heaven and the earth but an artificial god to you and your people. They said if I am competent I should come next week on that same market day and preach, their gods will come out and I will physically see him if I overcome their god they would follow me. I went home and prepare myself seriously study the scripture, went into dry fasting for complete six day entering seven days which was that Iketa market day. When I returned to the church, someone came to me by 12:00pm, I should come and preach for them when I reach there God answered my prayer by fire. As I prayed, I told God if that shrine is not the real God who created heaven and earth “let fire come from heaven and consume it”. As if God was waiting for me to pray,” Immediately God send fire from heaven into the shrine”. People saw physical fire burning the shrine and they give glory to God Almighty. After that miraculous event, the church of Christ at Ikekita began to grow, people that came into the church were giving testimonies of their deliverance, and healing. Before I left the church, they was population increase from about 30=40 to about three hundred members because of the miracles that happened at the shrine. This was the day I confirmed that I am a minister of God When I got that from a standing member of the church of Christ and a teacher in the bible school .when I as him that Robert Woodward believe and teaching denied the existence of demons .he gave me a practical proof a particular demons called muoho that you don't see else you died but he saw it in his farm and nothing happened to him.this and many more proof that Dr Farrar planted seed of the work of the holy spirit in the church of Christ like destroying shrines,raising the dead etc both in Akwa Ibom state and Abia state Nigeria Glory be to God.
