THERE IS HOPE FOR THE CHURCH AND SCHOOL AGAIN IN ABIAKPO IKOT ABASI INYANG


In the context of the Church and the School in Abiakpo Ikot Abasi Inyang. I consider Daniel 8:5-7 as a suitable prophecy that is fulfilled in our days.
“As I was thinking about this, suddenly a goat with a prominent horn between his eyes came from the west, crossing the whole earth without touching the ground. He came toward the two-horned ram I had seen standing beside the canal and charged at him in great rage. I saw him attack the ram furiously, striking the ram and shattering his two horns. The ram was powerless to stand against him; the goat knocked him to the ground and trampled on him, and none could rescue the ram from his power.” ………..but, “the He-Goat shall be broken without hand”.
The ram with two horns may characterize the village (“Abiakpo Ikot Abasi Inyang”) with the   Church and school. In the context of this work, and the two horns can represent the church and the school. It is believed that Horn is a symbol of power and authority. When the Qua Iboe Mission missionary (Ette Nelson) brought  the church and the school to Chief Umo Udotong he accepted    at his three gated  palace,  and was nicknamed “the palace church and school”  that was the starting point of the church and the school in this village  and was relocated  the present location 100 years ago (1920-2020) .Just think about  the king’s church and the king’s school,  that started hundreds years ago what  do you see today? .Now  that the school was  taken over  as Government school and the Qua Ibo mission was changed to Christian Methodist Episcopal church in the village yet we still lack behind . 
The Church and the school is the symbol of the spiritual and academic power and authority of the land for total development of the land. While the He-Goat symbolizes the satanic power and authority that came in annoyance against the white men (Ette Nelson) the church and the school in the land so that the people continued in total ignorance and darkness.
(The He-goat) knocked him to the ground and trampled on him, and none could rescue the ram from his power.
As he failed in his original aim, “the He-Goat pulls down the church and the school with its own power and rendered the church and the school powerless.
Since that time, the village doesn’t have spiritual and academic power again because the Church and the school is weak and powerless.
I want you to know that the strength of any village or community is the church and the school with power and authority which are true faculty for development.
So the He-Goat attack on the church and the school in the village was strategic .he takes away the spiritual and academic strength and makes the village weak, void of a vibrant church and school.
 Since inception of the church and the school into the land 100 years ago, what can we boss of?  We can now see clearly the manifestation of the work of the he-goat as he has taken way the pivot of development; the spiritual and academic strength of the village. I want to have you know what God said, the He-Goat shall be broken without hand and the village will have the spiritual and academic power/authority again for real/total development.
