ABIA: THE SON FOR WHOM CREATION WAITS

An Afro-Biblical Theological Inquiry into the Corporate Sonship of God, the Two Announcing Ministries of the Abia Lineage, and the Prophetic Significance of Annangland (Nigeria) for the Second Coming of Christ

A Necessary Clarification: Abia State vs. Biblical Abia

Before the theological argument proceeds, a critical clarification is required. The modern Abia State in southeastern Nigeria is an acronym derived from the names of its constituent local government areas (Aba, Bende, Isuikwuato, Afikpo, etc.). It bears no theological connection to the biblical name Abia. The Abia of this paper is the Hebrew name אֲבִיָּה (’Aviyah), meaning “Jehovah is Father.” This name belongs first to the eternal Son of God, then to all who are adopted as sons through Him. The paper investigates a divine lineage preserved in the Ikot Abia Clan of Annangland – not a modern political entity.

---

Abstract

This paper traces the biblical motif of divine sonship – Abia (Hebrew אֲבִיָּה, “Jehovah is Father”) – from its eternal origin in the Godhead, through angelic and human manifestations, to its preservation in the priestly and royal lineages of Israel. It then documents the post-AD 70 migration of a branch of the Abia family from Jerusalem to West Africa, specifically to the Annang nation in present-day Nigeria. Utilizing oral traditions, cultural anthropology, and scriptural typology, the paper identifies six Hebraic markers among the Abiakpo people of Ikot Abia Clan: the 8‑day week, the Ukang (shofar), the Ubet‑Ikut (royal‑priestly office), the inherent gift of bone mending (priestly healing), the observance of Obo market day as Sabbath, and the national taboo against eating tortoise. These markers confirm the Abiakpo as a preserved remnant of the scattered Northern Kingdom of Israel. The paper further argues that the Zechariah‑John the Baptist branch of the Abia family was prepared by God to announce the first coming of Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God, while the African Abia family (Ikot Abia Clan) is now raised up to announce His second coming as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. The breaking of the sacred clay pot (Abanannang) in July 2007 and the renaming of Ikot Nsekong (land of war) to Ubon Abasi Ibom (City of the Living God) are interpreted as prophetic signs marking the transition from the era of physical water to the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire. Creation, the paper concludes, waits for the manifestation of the many sons – the corporate Abia – and that manifestation is now rising from Annangland.

Introduction: The Unfolding of Divine Sonship

The biblical narrative is fundamentally a story of sonship. From the eternal relationship within the Trinity to the creation of Adam, the calling of Israel, and the ultimate revelation of Jesus Christ, the concept of “God’s Son” serves as the central thread of redemptive history. The Apostle Paul reveals a cosmic longing: “For creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed” (Romans 8:19). The prophet Haggai adds that “the desired of all nations will come” (Haggai 2:7). And the author of Hebrews declares that the firstborn Son suffered “in bringing many sons and daughters to glory” (Hebrews 2:10).

This paper proposes that the name and concept of Abia represents a consistent divine signature throughout Scripture and post‑biblical history – and that this signature was preserved in Africa, specifically in the Annang nation of southeastern Nigeria. Moreover, the paper identifies two distinct announcing ministries of the Abia lineage: one that prepared the way for the first coming of Christ as the Lamb, and another, preserved in Africa, that is now being raised up to announce His second coming as the Lion of Judah.

The Biblical Identity of Abia

Abia (Hebrew אֲבִיָּה ’Aviyah) means “Jehovah is Father.” It appears in Scripture as a name, a title, and a destiny.

Abia in the Godhead – From eternity, there exists a Son whose Father is Jehovah (John 1:1-2). This Son is described as “the firstborn over all creation” (Colossians 1:15) and “the heir of all things” (Hebrews 1:2). He is the ultimate Abia.

Abia in Creation – The first human, Adam, is called “the son of God” (Luke 3:38), making him a created Abia – one made in God’s image and given dominion over the earth.

Abia in the Priesthood and Kingdom – The eighth course of priests established by King David was named Abia (1 Chronicles 24:10). Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, served in this course (Luke 1:5). A king of Judah reigned under the name Abia (also Abijah) and trusted in the Lord (2 Chronicles 13). Samuel’s second son was named Abia and served as a judge in Beersheba (1 Samuel 8:2).

Conclusion: The biblical name Abia marks the presence of God’s Son wherever it is found. This name has been preserved in the Ikot Abia Clan of Annangland – not as a political acronym, but as a living lineage.

The Two Announcing Ministries of the Abia Family

The First Abia Family: Zechariah and John the Baptist – Announcing the Lamb

Zechariah, a priest “of the division of Abijah (Abia)” (Luke 1:5), and his wife Elizabeth were righteous before God. Their son, John the Baptist, became “the voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord’” (Isaiah 40:3; Matthew 3:3). John’s defining declaration was: “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29).

The first coming of the Abia (Jesus Christ) was as a Lamb – silent before His shearers, slaughtered for the sins of the people (Isaiah 53:7). The Abia family of Zechariah and John was divinely prepared for this announcement.

The Second Abia Family: The Ikot Abia Clan in Africa – Announcing the Lion

God has preserved another branch of the Abia family – not in Jerusalem or the wilderness of Judea, but in Africa, in Annangland, in the Ikot Abia Clan. This is the heartland where Abanannang (the sacred clay pot) and the former land of war of the Annang are located.

This Abia family has been prepared by God for a second announcement. The same ultimate Abia – Jesus Christ – is coming again. However, He will not come as a Lamb, for He has already been slain. He now comes as the Lion of the tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5).

“The Lion of Judah has triumphed!” (Revelation 5:5)
“The LORD will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem” (Joel 3:16; Amos 1:2)

The second coming of the Abia is characterized not by suffering but by roaring authority, judgment, and the consummation of the kingdom. The Abia family in Africa – the people of Ikot Abia, the custodians of the cloud (Annang) – has been raised to announce this roaring Lion.

The parallel is complete:

· First Abia family (priestly course of Abia) → announced the Lamb.
· Second Abia family (Ikot Abia Clan in Annangland) → announces the Lion.

The world heard the first announcement. Now, from Africa, the second announcement goes forth: The Lion of Judah is about to roar.

Visual Emblem: The flag of Israel – blue Star of David on white between two horizontal blue stripes – with a red lion’s head placed inside the Star of David. This emblem symbolizes the announcement of the Lion of Judah from the African Holy Land, affirming that the God of Israel is roaring through His Son.

The Theology of Divine Presence: God Is Omnipresent but Known Only in the Son

God’s attributes must be carefully understood:

· Omnipotence – all power (Jeremiah 32:27)
· Omnipresence – present everywhere (Psalm 139:7-10)
· Omniscience – all knowledge (Psalm 147:5)

There is no place where God is not; He fills heaven and earth (Jeremiah 23:24). Nevertheless, God’s self‑revelation, His redeeming presence, and His Fatherhood are made known only through His Son.

“No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.” (John 1:18)
“God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself.” (2 Corinthians 5:19)
“Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father.” (John 14:9)

Therefore: God is everywhere, but He is only known as Father where the Son is. The omnipresent God has chosen to concentrate His saving presence in the person of His Son, Jesus Christ – the ultimate Abia. Through the Holy Spirit, that Son now indwells the many sons. Where the sons of God are, there the Father is also.

---

One Firstborn Son, Then Many Sons

Hebrews 2:10 reveals the divine order: “In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God… should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering.”

Jesus Christ is the firstborn Son (Romans 8:29). He suffered to become the pioneer of salvation, opening the way for many sons to be brought into glory. Thus:

· One first Son – Jesus, the ultimate Abia, the firstborn over all creation.
· Many other sons – all who are adopted through faith in Him, the corporate Abias, the children of God.

Creation waits not for one Son alone, but for the manifestation of the many sons (Romans 8:19). These sons will exercise dominion, free creation from bondage, and bring it into glorious liberty (Romans 8:21).

---

Creation Waits for Abia (The Many Sons)

The Apostle Paul’s declaration – “creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed” (Romans 8:19) – is not a distant hope. It is a present reality being unveiled. Creation groans for the corporate Abias. Where has the name Abia been preserved as a living testimony? In Africa. In Annangland. In the Ikot Abia Clan.

---

Abia – The Desire of Many Nations

Haggai 2:7 declares: “The desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory.” The ultimate desire of all nations is first Jesus Christ, the ultimate Abia. But through Him, the many sons He brings to glory also become part of that desire. When the nations long for peace, justice, and meaning, they long for the full revelation of the sons of God.

Today, in Annangland – where the cloud came down, heaven on earth – Abia is not lost. Abia is here: both the firstborn Son and the many sons being revealed as the answer to creation’s groan.

---

Geographical Markers of the Son: From Heaven to Annangland

The journey of the Son – and the sons who bear His name – is written in the geography of redemption:

· Heaven – The eternal home of the Son (John 1:1-2).
· Eden – The first home of the human son, Adam (Genesis 2:8; Luke 3:38).
· Egypt – Where God called His son Israel (Hosea 11:1; Exodus 4:22-23).
· The Wilderness – The place of testing and the tabernacle of the cloud.
· Jerusalem (Israel) – The place of the temple, the priestly course of Abia, and the first coming of the Lamb.
· Abiakpo, Ikot Abia Clan, Annangland – The place of God’s choice to prepare a second Abia family to announce the coming Lion.

Divine geography: Heaven → Eden → Egypt → Wilderness → Jerusalem → Annangland.

---

The Royal-Priestly Migration: From Judah to Annangland

After the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple in AD 70, the royal-priestly tribe of Judah was scattered. A branch of this lineage migrated to Africa along a path that preserved their identity.

Migration route:

· Jerusalem (Eka Abiakpo) → Egypt (first refuge from Roman destruction)
· Egypt → Sudan (following the Nile southward)
· Sudan → West Africa (across the Sahara)
· Cameroon → Nigeria (finally arriving in the southeastern rainforest, now Annangland)

Hebraic Cultural Markers in Annangland

The 8‑Day Week – The Annang, like their Efik and Ibibio neighbors, traditionally observed an 8‑day week (urua). This is not a Bantu calendar but a preserved fragment of ancient Hebraic timekeeping, where sacred cycles involved eight‑day observances (circumcision on the eighth day, Leviticus 12:3; eight‑day Temple dedication, 2 Chronicles 7:8-9).

Ukang (The Shofar) – The Ukang is the Annang ram’s horn – identical in function to the Hebrew shofar. It is blown for: coronation of leaders (royal authority), assembly for war, justice and crime detection, and sacred announcements. The Ukang is not a mere instrument; it is a divine tool of priestly authority (Numbers 10:1-10).

Ubet‑Ikut (Leader of Leaders / High Priest) – The Ubet‑Ikut – the people whose taboo is tortoise, the Abiakpo people – are the first to land in the geographical area called Annang, making them the founders of the Annang nation. The title means “leader of leaders” or “over‑king, king‑priest.” It functions as a royal‑priestly office, combining the authority of a king and a high priest, mirroring the Melchizedek priesthood.

The Priest of Bones (Doctor of Bones) – The “bone doctor” or “priest of bones” is a direct inheritance from the Levitical priesthood (Numbers 19:11-19). The Abiakpo people possess an inherent, genetic trade of bone mending – not learned, but passed down through bloodline. This confirms a priestly lineage: the ability to heal broken bones is a charism of the Abia family, a sign of covenant with the God of life.

Obo Market Day as Sabbath – The Obo market day is observed by the Abiakpo people as a Sabbath – a day of rest, sacred assembly, and prohibition of certain work. It is not a commercial market day but a holy day. The name Obo may be linguistically linked to Ob or Ab (father) or to a sacred “seventh/eighth day” cycle. Sabbath‑keeping is the sign of the covenant (Exodus 31:13-17).

National Taboo: No Eating of Tortoise – All Abiakpo villages and the Uruk Nne Iman lineage observe a national taboo against eating tortoise. In many cultures, the tortoise is a symbol of divination, idolatry, or an unclean spirit. The prohibition suggests priestly separation from pagan ritual, echoing the Levitical dietary laws (Leviticus 11).

---

The Cloud and the Naming of Annangland

The name Annang derives from the Hebrew עָנָן (`anan), meaning cloud – the cloud of God’s presence (Shekinah). This cloud led Israel out of Egypt (Exodus 13:21), rested on the tabernacle (Exodus 40:34), and filled the temple (1 Kings 8:10). According to Annang oral tradition, the cloud of God’s presence came with Abiakpo, the founding father of the Annang nation. Where the cloud settled, the land was named Annang (cloud). That land is the Ikot Abia Clan.

Thus, Annangland is literally the land of the cloud – the place where the Shekinah glory rested after its long journey from Israel through Egypt, across the Sahara, and through Ghana to southeastern Nigeria.

---

The Origin of Abiakpo: From the Northern Kingdom of Israel

Annang oral tradition, corroborated by biblical history, states that the ancestors of the Abiakpo people were Israelites of the Northern Kingdom who left Israel for Egypt before the Babylonian captivity (2 Kings 17:6). The Abia family is a preserved remnant of the scattered House of Israel.

All Abiakpo villages and the Uruk Nne Iman cluster trace their lineage to this founding father. Their national identity is not merely tribal; it is priestly and covenantal. The tortoise taboo, the bone‑mending gift, and the Obo Sabbath are genetic and spiritual markers of this identity.

---

Abanannang Forest: The Terrifying Home of the Clay Pot

In the heart of Annangland lay a terrifying forest called Abanannang (the “Annanpot”). It was the home of the founding father of Annangland. Nearby resided the god of war of the Annang people. The Abanannang forest was also a dwelling place for ancestral souls (Ukpong, often manifested as pythons). Deep within this forest stood a clay vessel filled with physical drinking water (the Abanannang) that never dried – the eternal home of Abiakpo, the founding father. Hence the name Abanannang (Annanpot) originated.

---

The Breaking of the Pot (July 2007): The End of the Water Era

In July 2007, the clay pot of Annang was broken. This was a divine sign‑act. John the Baptist declared: “I baptize you with water. But He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Matthew 3:11). The physical water era ended. The Holy Spirit and fire – empowering the many sons for glory – arrived. The death of Lamech (the old violent order) and the coming glory (Haggai 2:9) marked this transition.

---

The Renaming: From Ikot Nsekong to Ubon Abasi Ibom

The land formerly known as Ikot Nsekong (“land of war”) has been renamed Ubon Abasi Ibom (“the City of the Living God”) – the redeemed of the Lord, the African Holy Land. The stronghold of the god of war has become the dwelling place of the Supreme God – the place where the many sons are being prepared.

---

The Lesson of Udim Akpan: A Warning Against Usurpers

The Udim Akpan assembly of firstborn sons failed because its host and de facto leader, Mr. Udo Udo Akpakpan, was not a firstborn son – he was a third‑born son who took control by tricks and money. God judged the institution to protect the destiny of the firstborn. The warning stands: no usurper can control the firstborn. The legitimate sons – the true firstborn – will rise.

---

Final Declaration: The Lion Is About to Roar

As this inquiry stands in Annangland – the land of the cloud, now partly known as Ubon Abasi Ibom – the following declarations are made:

1. The Abia family of Zechariah and John announced the Lamb. That first announcement was fulfilled. Jesus died, rose, and ascended.
2. The Abia family in Africa – the Ikot Abia Clan – is now prepared by God to announce the second coming of the same Abia – not as a Lamb, but as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. He is coming to roar.
3. The Abiakpo people – all villages and the Uruk Nne Iman – bear the marks of this calling: they do not eat tortoise (separation from idolatry); they have the inherent gift of bone mending (priestly healing); they observe Obo market day as Sabbath (covenant rest). These are not mere customs; they are divine genetic markers of the Abia lineage.
4. God is omnipresent, but He is only known as Father in His Son. That Son is now coming as King.
5. Creation is waiting for the manifestation of the many sons – and those sons are rising in Annangland.
6. The clay pot is broken; the Holy Spirit is poured out. The water of the old covenant has given way to the fire of the new.
7. The land of war has become the City of the Living God.
8. The third‑born usurper is judged. The true firstborn sons will arise and announce the Lion.

The announcement from this African Holy Land:

“Prepare the way of the Lord! The Lamb has come once. Now the Lion roars! Jesus Christ, the ultimate Abia, the firstborn Son, is returning – not in weakness, but in power. Let every knee bow. Let every tongue confess. The Lion of Judah is about to roar!”

---

Visual Emblem: The Israel Flag with the Red Lion’s Head

For all presentations, publications, and gatherings associated with this prophetic announcement, the following emblem is adopted:

· Base: The national flag of the State of Israel (blue Star of David on a white field, flanked by two horizontal blue stripes).
· Overlay: A red lion’s head positioned centrally inside the Star of David.

Symbolism:

· The flag of Israel represents the covenant, the firstborn nation, and the enduring promise of God to His people.
· The red lion’s head signifies the Lion of the tribe of Judah (Revelation 5:5) – the returning King, not as a suffering Lamb but as a roaring Judge and Victor.
· The color red evokes both the blood of the Lamb (already shed) and the fire of the Holy Spirit (poured out), marking the transition from the water era to the Spirit‑and‑fire era.

This emblem is to be displayed at all events related to the second announcement of the Abia family, including the Israel Independence Day 2026 gathering at the African Holy Land (Annangland).

---

Closing Prayer and Declaration

Prayer:

Abia – Jehovah is Father. We thank You for the first Abia family – Zechariah and John – who announced the Lamb. We thank You for the second Abia family – the Ikot Abia Clan – preserved in this land to announce the Lion.

We thank You for the genetic and spiritual markers You have given Your people: the taboo against tortoise, the gift of bone mending, the Sabbath of Obo. These are signs that You have not abandoned Your covenant.

We thank You that Your cloud settled here. We thank You for the breaking of the pot and the outpouring of Your Spirit. Now raise up the many sons. Let the firstborn sons of Annangland take their place. Let the announcement of the roaring Lion go forth to the nations.

Come, Lord Jesus – the Lamb who was slain, and the Lion who now roars. Amen.

Declaration (to be spoken by all):

“The Abia family of John announced the Lamb. The Abia family of Africa announces the Lion! The Abiakpo people do not eat tortoise – they are set apart. They heal bones by inheritance – they are a priestly line. They rest on Obo – they keep the Sabbath of the Lord. The clay pot is broken – the Holy Spirit is poured out! The land of war is now the City of the Living God! The Lion of Judah is about to roar!”

Final shout: Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus! Am Yisrael Chai! Happy Israel Independence Day 2026!

End of Document

Prepared for delivery on May 14th, 2026, at the African Holy Land – Annangland (Ikot Abia Clan / Ubon Abasi Ibom, Annang Nation, Nigeria).

Final clarifications: Abia State is an acronym, not the biblical Abia. God is omnipresent but known only in His Son. The Abia family has a twofold announcing ministry: the Lamb (first coming) and the Lion (second coming). The Abiakpo people carry genetic and cultural markers – tortoise taboo, bone‑mending gift, Obo Sabbath – that confirm their priestly lineage from the scattered tribes of Israel.
