I am bringing together a series of distinct places, physical events, oral testimonies, personal experiences, dreams, and prophetic interpretations that, over the years, became connected in my understanding of God's dealings concerning Africa. The forest repeatedly appears throughout this testimony as a place of confrontation, transition, clearing, preservation, responsibility, handover, captivity, deliverance, and assignment. At Abanannang, the forest became associated with the breaking of an earthen vessel. At Ikot Ekon–Ikot Udu, the forest became a place of clearing and cultivation.
