Origin of Ukpong Ibanga family By Effiong Daniel Ukpong Ukpong Ibanga family as popularly called today began with rejection by his father,Ibanga Udo Udo Abasi Inyang Nkon from Idung Obong’’ "King compound "because of his innocence as twins. When the young girl Nwada from Umoette family in Ikot Nsekong was married to Ibanga Udo Udo Abasi Inyang ,She never prayed to have twins as twins were abominable in those days.But by divine arrangement for posterity he gave her twins in the land that twins were rejected and seen as the worst thing and twins mother as nkpopo(dead woman) The mother and the twins were thrown out and she ran to her family with those children . since they feared the law of grand children whom they respected more than God they went inside the lonely bush build a thatch house for them Like happened in the day of Moses and Jesus, God preserved this heritage in one of the worse place in Annang like Moses in the heart of Egypt and Jesus in Egypt these twins were preserved in Ikot Nsekong till the fullness of time.He will say out of Egypt I call my son. .And when the second son Ukpong was fifteen years, he disappeared for forty nine days and come back with Ekput and his body rubbed with white clay for divination.He started divination and people trooped to him as he divined for them .He married many wives with many wives.He became the most wealthiest in the community.when time came God gave him twins he never through away the children as happened in those day but build a structure outside the compound for them and feed them but never married the woman again till she died. When I was praying about the matter,God gave me twins in family . Look at the mystery Ukpong Ibanga was a twins,and dwelt in the land of the innocent If Ikot nsekong and they allowed him.God grew him into a big family.he got twins and cared for them while others were killing theirs.His son Udo Ekong ukpong heard Dr. Farrar preached in the market Etok Obo Ikot Osum .He got the message and ran with it but told Farrar this kind of message is needful in my family..On the same day Farrar came with him to Ikot Nsekong with his first message of gospel of Christ at the Ikpaisong shrine who was responsible for rejection and killing of twins.but Ikpaisong wept before Dr. Farrar and went away and shouted out like a gunshot but the people said the Whiteman have gunshot Ikpaisong dead from that day in1964 till today Ikpaisong Ikot Nsekong is dead but Christ rules and the twins lives.In Ukpong Ibanga family twins were not killed or thrown away but allow to live even before the coming of Mary Slessor. Ukpong Ibanga was a seed of destiny that God took and preserved in the bush of the innocence for such a time like this.why must God preserved him in a wrong place that don't want twins but they cared for this twins.like Moses was taken and preserved in the very heart of Egypt so was Ukpong Ibanga taken from ikot Abasi Inyang to Ikot Nsekong and preserved for a purpose which manifested in his son bringing Dr.Farrar for the destruction of the god that demanded the killing of twins which situated at ikot Nsekong where he was taken and hidden.At that same place I was born and raised but when the fullness of time comes at year 2000 he called and appeared to me.When I wanted to marry as we Went to my mother and she pray that I will not have twins but I said I needed twins and God gave me but she refused to carry those children nor even sit down and drink but gave excuses of taken porch. Now that twins family has grown. Before the coming of Mary Slessor God preserved Ukpong Ibanga at the land of the innocent in a land Farrar prophesied that will be a holy land and in 2010 that same land was declared African holy land by Pst Andrew Omale the head state house prayer department Abuja Nigeria as we crown our Jubilee on 28/12/2010
