Subject: International Mother Earth Day is the global revival of Usen Ikpaisong (Edet market day) – a secret killer cult that destroyed millions, had the power of life and death with no appeal, and was the most dreaded deity – in direct violation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Preamble
Your Excellencies,
I write not as a scholar in an ivory tower, but as a witness born from the land where these things happened. I am Da Effiong Daniel, from the African Holy Land, Obot Akara, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria – the very heartland of the Efik, Ibibio, and Annang peoples. Here, the earth deity Ikpaisong once ruled through terror.
Let me speak plainly about what Ikpaisong was:
Ikpaisong was not a benign nature tradition. Ikpaisong had the power of life and death, and was the most dreaded deity in our land. It was a secret killer cult that operated without any human rights framework. When Ikpaisong pronounced a death sentence – for violating earth taboos, for bearing twins, for any offense against the earth god – there was no appeal. No court. No mercy. No one could overturn the judgment. The condemned was killed, their corpse kept as a shrine trophy (Okpo Ikpaisong), their property confiscated, and their house left empty – none living.
Over centuries, millions of people were destroyed or killed by Ikpaisong – twins, mothers, those who broke earth laws, those chosen as sacrifices. The earth god was a silent, bloodthirsty ruler whose appetite could never be satisfied, only appeased weekly.
Now the United Nations has declared “International Mother Earth Day” – an annual observance that uses identical language: “peace with the Earth,” “harmony with nature,” “Mother Earth healing,” and calls for ritual appeasement of the planet as a living entity.
The UN is doing the same thing that was done weekly at the Ikpaisong shrine – only now it is globalized and given moral legitimacy. You have taken a local secret killer cult that destroyed millions – a deity with absolute power of life and death, the most dreaded in the land – and made it international.
I must state plainly:
The spiritual system you are unknowingly endorsing is the same system that killed millions of people – including twins, mothers, and countless others – with no appeal, no trial, no mercy. It left corpses unburied as shrine trophies (Okpo Ikpaisong), confiscated families’ property, turned homes into ghost compounds, and banished twin mothers to forests and roadside shacks – every week, on Edet market day (Usen Ikpaisong). You cannot promote earth appeasement without reviving its fruits of mass death, theft, and desecration.
Part One: What Ikpaisong Did to Twin Mothers – The Full Record
Under Ikpaisong law, the moment a woman gave birth to twins, she was declared Eka Nkpokpo – “a dead woman.” Her twins were called ghosts. The following regulations were enforced by shrine priests who “appeased the earth” every Edet market day (Usen Ikpaisong):
1. Mothers of twins must not cross the boundary of someone’s farmland into her own farm. Her farm had to be the first on the roadside, isolated from others.
2. She must not go to another person’s compound and take fire, nor must she take fire from someone else’s fire.
3. She must not pass through Ikpaisong (earth mother god) or any other shrine in the land.
4. Someone else must not carry her twins, or that person would be termed defiled.
5. She must not greet, nor be greeted. She must never receive help from others.
6. If someone is coming in front of her, she must not see the person’s face. Therefore, she must stand at attention, face the bush, and let the people pass before she continues her journey.
7. She must not even come into the compound of a midwife unless sacrifice is made. If she must come, plantain leaves must be placed on the ground for her to walk on into the house.
8. She must not go to the market or buy from people.
9. She must not dwell with other people. Her house must be built on a lonely road or in the forest. Her farmland must be near the road, away from others.
10. She must not urinate in someone’s farm.
11. She must not be assisted by anyone. If she goes to the farm, nobody will help carry her load – even if she is exhausted.
12. From the time she gives birth to twins, she is considered a dead woman. She must not have any sexual relationship with her husband again until her death. The twins were called ghosts.
Be the judge: What does this kind of treatment bring to the land – curses or blessings? Twins and their mothers were a people who dwelt alone in the forests – outcasts in the land of Africa. The Efik, Ibibio and Annang speaking area of Africa turned what God had blessed into cursed ghosts. And millions of them were destroyed by this secret killer cult.
Part Two: What Ikpaisong Did to the Dead – Okpo Ikpaisong and Stolen Property (No Appeal, No Mercy)
But the terror did not end with the living. Under Ikpaisong law, when a person was killed – whether for violating earth taboos, as a ritual sacrifice, or through shrine judgment – the following occurred:
1. The corpse was not given a proper burial. Instead, it was kept at the Ikpaisong shrine as Okpo Ikpaisong – a relic, a trophy, a permanent exhibit of the earth deity’s power. The dead were not returned to their families; they became shrine decorations.
2. All property of the deceased was confiscated and declared “Ikpaisong property” – land, livestock, household goods, even the clothes on their backs.
3. The deceased’s house or compound was left empty – “none living.” No family member could inhabit it. It became a ghost compound, a monument to the earth god’s appetite.
And there was no appeal. No human rights tribunal. No court of law. No mercy. The judgment of Ikpaisong was final. If the priests declared that the earth god demanded your death, you died. Your family could not plead, could not pay compensation, could not overturn the sentence. Ikpaisong had the power of life and death, and was the most dreaded deity. This was a secret killer cult operating in darkness, and over centuries, millions of people were destroyed or killed by Ikpaisong.
This means that earth appeasement did not merely banish twins. It actively murdered, desecrated human bodies, stole livelihoods, and created empty villages – all in the name of “peace with the earth” – and this was done weekly on Edet market day (Usen Ikpaisong), with no appeal, no justice, no mercy.
Part Three: The Biblical Verdict – Ezekiel 36:13–14
In the Hebrew Scriptures, God addresses a land that had become complicit in bloodshed and exile. The people said of the land of Israel: “You devour people and you bereave your nation” (Ezekiel 36:13).
God’s response is not to appease the land, but to command it: “Therefore you shall devour people no more, and you shall bereave your nation no more, declares the Lord God.” (Ezekiel 36:14)
Under Ikpaisong, the earth “devoured” people – through killing millions, through leaving unburied corpses as Okpo Ikpaisong, through confiscating property, through banishing mothers to forests. The earth “bereaved” the nation – leaving empty compounds, ghost houses, and weeping mothers.
But God says to the earth: “You shall devour people no more.”
Therefore, any ritual that appeases the earth – whether ancient or modern, whether weekly at Edet market or annually as “Earth Day” – is directly opposed to God’s command. And any organization that promotes such appeasement, even unwittingly, aligns itself with a secret killer cult that destroyed millions with no appeal – a deity that had the power of life and death and was the most dreaded.
Part Four: Direct Contradiction with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights
UN Human Rights Provision What Ikpaisong’s Earth‑Appeasement Did
Article 3: Right to life Killed millions – no trial, no appeal
Article 5: No cruel treatment Forest banishment; corpses kept as shrine trophies
Article 6: Recognition as a person Twins called “ghosts”; mother “dead woman”
Article 7: Equal protection Systematic discrimination
Article 8: Right to remedy None existed – no appeal
Article 10: Fair trial No trial – priests pronounced judgment
Article 12: Privacy, family, home House left empty (“none living”)
Article 16: Right to marry and family Mothers forbidden from marital relations
Article 17: Right to property All property confiscated to shrine
Article 25: Adequate living No market, no help, forest dwelling
Ezekiel 36:14 (moral witness) Earth shall not devour people – yet Ikpaisong did
Part Five: The UN’s Current Problem – Usen Ikpaisong Becomes Global
Let me state this with absolute clarity:
· In my homeland, the weekly market day called Edet was also known as Usen Ikpaisong – the day of the earth god. On that day, priests performed appeasement rituals to bring “peace with the earth.” This was the operating day of a secret killer cult that destroyed millions with no appeal. Ikpaisong had the power of life and death, and was the most dreaded deity.
· The United Nations has now declared “International Mother Earth Day” – an annual observance that uses the exact same vocabulary: “peace with the Earth,” “Mother Earth healing,” “harmony with nature,” and calls for ritual appeasement.
The UN is doing the same thing that was done weekly at the Ikpaisong shrine. You have taken a local secret killer cult that murdered millions with no justice – a deity with absolute power of life and death – removed its explicit name, and repackaged it as global environmentalism. But the spiritual architecture is identical.
When the UN promotes “Mother Earth” as a person or deity to be appeased, you are unknowingly reviving the spiritual logic that justified killing millions, keeping unburied corpses as shrine trophies, confiscating property, leaving family compounds empty, and a system with no appeal, no trial, no mercy, absolute power of life and death.
You cannot separate the ritual language from its historical fruits. Earth appeasement theology is a human rights crime scene – a mass grave. The UN, by promoting “Mother Earth” as a person or deity to be appeased, aligns itself with a secret killer cult that God Himself condemned in Ezekiel 36 – and that my ancestors were delivered from through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Part Six: Our Demands
I call upon the United Nations to take the following actions:
1. Explicitly repudiate any language that personifies the Earth as a deity requiring appeasement, peace, or harmony in a ritual sense.
2. Issue a formal acknowledgment that in many African traditional religions (specifically Ikpaisong), “Mother Earth” theology was directly linked to: the destruction of millions with no appeal; a deity with power of life and death, the most dreaded; keeping unburied corpses as shrine trophies; confiscation of property; creation of ghost compounds; and that these rituals were performed weekly on Edet market day (Usen Ikpaisong).
3. Distinguish clearly between ecological stewardship (which I support) and spiritual appeasement of the earth (which I reject as anti‑human rights and condemned by God).
4. Declare April 22 not only as Earth Day, but also as Global Remembrance Day for the Millions Killed by Earth‑Cult Violence, Global Remembrance Day for Twins and Their Mothers, and Global Liberation from Earth Appeasement Day.
5. Invite African Christian and human rights voices – including survivors of Ikpaisong’s laws – to the UN’s environmental drafting tables.
6. Investigate the historical human rights crimes of earth-appeasement cults worldwide and issue a report on how modern “Mother Earth” rhetoric may unintentionally legitimize those crimes.
Final Word
I do not make peace with the earth. I make peace with God through Jesus Christ, who broke every covenant of blood, banishment, corpse desecration, and property theft.
The twins and their mothers were a people who dwelt alone in the forests – outcasts in the land of Africa. The dead became trophies (Okpo Ikpaisong). The living became ghosts. Families lost their homes and their land. Millions were destroyed or killed – with no appeal, no trial, no mercy. Ikpaisong had the power of life and death, and was the most dreaded deity. All because of earth appeasement – performed weekly on Edet market day, Usen Ikpaisong.
Now the UN has made that same observance global and called it “Earth Day.”
Will the United Nations stand with the outcasts, or with the secret killer cult that cast them out?
I await your response.
Signed,
Da Effiong Daniel

UN Earth Day (annual Usen Ikpaisong) Revives all spiritually God commands earth to stop devouring.
Dear UN Officials,
Please find attached an open letter from Da Effiong Daniel of the African Holy Land, Obot Akara, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, regarding International Mother Earth Day.
This letter demonstrates that UN Earth Day uses the same ritual language as Usen Ikpaisong (Edet market day) – a weekly earth-appeasement cult that destroyed millions of people, had the power of life and death with no appeal, and was the most dreaded deity in our land. Under Ikpaisong, twins were killed, mothers banished to forests, corpses kept as shrine trophies (Okpo Ikpaisong), property confiscated, and homes left empty.
We call on the UN to repudiate earth-appeasement language and to declare April 22 as Global Remembrance Day for the millions killed by earth-cult violence.
Signed,
Da Effiong Daniel
